It is contrarian oriented and valuation focused and pursues a low net equity long/short strategy. Contrarian Alpha tends to lean net short and is focused on alpha production on both sides of the book. This approach combines deep fundamental analysis around ascertaining intrinsic value with the identification of catalysts and sentiment change that can realign price with intrinsic value.
